Approach

Beginning therapy is a call to adventure. It’s a journey of self-discovery that can feel dark at times, but can ultimately lead to great insight, compassion, and wisdom. I’m here to guide and support your inner quest.

How I Work

My practice is informed by studies in psychodynamic theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), self-compassion, mindfulness, creative arts, and Buddhist psychology.

I combine elements of talk therapy with gentle, trauma-informed awareness practices that help clients cultivate inner kindness and heal parts of themselves that feel burdened. As an IFS-trained therapist, I view all symptoms as parts. Anxiety, depression, sadness, despair, anger - these are all parts that we can befriend and heal. We'll explore each part with great care, and at the speed that feels right for you.

In addition to IFS and meditation, I often incorporate art-making to help clients tap into the unconscious and explore their inner landscapes using color and imagery.
